The Norwegian Photographer Kristoffer Ihlen is always searching for new challenges. The love of photography started in 1973 when he got his firs camera. A camera that previously was his mothers trusty Nikon F2 with a motor-drive and a Nikkor 45 mm. f 2.8 lens. The first images where developed in his mother’s darkroom in the suburbs of Oslo.
I don’t know why my images look the way they do. When I portray people, I seek for something then I find a moment, and then I press the shutter-button. I strive to be myself and do not want to be like other photographers. I like to be myself and do it my own style.
My camera is my sketchbook an instrument of intuition and spontaneity. And with it I capture the moment.
